About Tivolo
Tivolo is a personal media player for iOS and macOS. You connect it to your own media
server by entering the server URL, username, and password your subscription service
provides. Tivolo does not provide, host, or distribute any content of its own — it simply
plays the streams available on the server you configure.
Getting Started
- Open Tivolo and tap Connect on the sign-in screen.
- Enter the Server URL (it must start with
http:// or https://),
your Username, and your Password.
- Tap Connect. Your channels and categories load once the server responds.
Frequently Asked Questions
The app won't connect to my server
- Confirm the server URL is exactly as provided, including
http:// or https:// and any port number.
- Double-check the username and password for typos — both are case-sensitive.
- Make sure your subscription is active and has not expired.
- Verify the server is reachable from your current network (some providers restrict access by region or require a VPN).
A channel won't play or buffers constantly
- Other channels playing normally usually means the issue is with that specific stream on your provider's side.
- Try again after a few moments — provider streams can be temporarily offline.
- A slow or unstable internet connection can cause buffering; try switching between Wi-Fi and cellular.
How do I sign out or remove my data
- In the app, open Settings → Sign Out to clear your credentials and cached channel data.
- Deleting the app removes all remaining local data, including the Keychain entry.
Where is my data stored
Tivolo stores your credentials locally in the device Keychain and caches channel data on
your device only. Nothing is sent to us — see the
Privacy Policy for details.
